How you’ll join the Coconnect network
With security and reliability backed by tight Service Level Agreements, we’re committed to getting you connected to our network in the way that gives you the best possible internet service.
What’s possible will depend on a number of factors, including location, school size and number of users.
FTTC involves linking fibre optic cables to your cabinet green box to provide a superfast broadband connection. This is done in partnership with Openreach, the UK’s leading broadband infrastructure provider. A minimum line speed of 15mbps, guaranteed by Openreach (higher speeds are likely).
Enhanced Openreach support provided by Coconnect, for a 24/48-hour fix time in the unlikely event of failure.
Ideally suited to primary schools and smaller secondary schools, EoFTTC provides superfast broadband via an uncontended line – with further boosts from your local exchange when required.
A guaranteed line speed, even at peak times and regardless of how many users are online.
Dedicated Leased Line
A standard for all secondary schools and larger primary schools, a leased line will provide your school with your own fibre connection that you won’t have to share with anyone else, often known as 1:1.
The leased line will give you the same upload speed as download speed (up to 10Gbit) and all our leased lines come with SLAs starting from 4 hours fix time.
FTTP or ‘Ultrafast Broadband’ uses fibre optic cables directly to your school, providing you speeds of up to 5 times faster than EoFTTC and FTTC. The maximum speed is up to 1000Mbps download and 220Mbps upload. FTTP can generally be installed in 15 working days, subject to Openreach survey.
A Service Level Agreement (SLA) guaranteeing 24/-7 support and a 7-hour fix time. 30 day installation. Generally installed in 30 working days.
Prices for leased lines vary depending on the location of your school and which data providers are in your area.
